Fake Netflix payment failure email threatens permanent account deactivation within 3 days

Impersonating: Netflix

What is this scam?

Phishing emails impersonating Netflix warn recipients that payment processing has failed and that their account will be permanently deactivated within three business days unless billing details are updated. The email links to convincing fake Netflix login pages that harvest account credentials and payment card details. Which? flagged this as an active new scam in June 2026 — Netflix does not send payment failure notices with embedded payment links, and a genuine failed payment results in a retry grace period rather than instant permanent deactivation.
